Canon 20 D, 100-400L IS at 400, ISO 400, f5.6., 1/2000s.

BTW, Alfred and Fabs were alongside, watching the GBH babes and the Anhinga.. Nice to meet you both!

Great light and the dark BG makes the image really pop. I would run a little selective USM on only the face and the bill.
Did you think about a horiz crop on this one, it might work also.

Very nice, Scott, for web presentation, I'd crop some off the top. Great detail and good catch light.

Beautiful image Scott, I really like the light and color. I agree also about cropping some off the top to tighten up this fantastic portrait. Very well done.

Thanks for everyone's feedback.
I hadnt considered a horizontal crop, but I agree, it works!
I will incorporate the other suggestions before printng: a bit off the top, a bit sharper along the beak.
