I spent most of the day and night in the Dallas airport and am now washing and drying the contents of my luggage that was left in standing water for hours. I think I'm going to be a bit late for my meeting this morning.

I used the time to sort and process some of the photos on my laptop. Here's another pose from the time I spent with this snow egret. I have one with the little blue heron flying at him but it's only the back of the blue. I used the suggestions from the previous posting in processing this image.

Comments and suggestions welcomed and appreciated.

I absolutely LOVE this image. The shadows on the top wing are, to me, (and I am no expert) the only thing that detracts from this image in any way, otherwise, this has the feel of a very good painting to me.

Very nice and pose, Gayle. You could try and get rid of the shadows and the shine on the legs :)

I really really like this one Gayle. Frame it and hang it.

I also love this image, particularly the olive tone. I like the small highlight on the leg as it shows the texture of the scales that birds' leg possess, and their affinities to reptiles. I'm no judge, but I think this image would win competitions.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Fabs, I'll eliminate the shadow and shine as soon as I get back home.

sorry you got everything all wet.....

This snowy image has a very artsy appeal, like something a great master would have painted. I can just see it 'big" and a wood frame.

only IMO, the olive cast is still a bit strong.....but has a lot of appeal
