The original had been worked on last summer and pumped up colors and details with Topaz. I just used Fractalius on a duplicate layer at about 90% opacity.

Judy,

Beautiful effect as it does look as if the sky is on fire. Nice work using Fractalius.

I only wish there was a bit more detail or shapes on the ground (trees, rolling hills) to give it a stronger feeling of being a landscape.

Judy, I love the beautiful glowing colors-looks like the sky is on fire! I do see Richard's point regarding the bottom. Really neat look!:S3:

Thanks Denise and Richard. Unfortunately that is the landscape at the lake, no trees or hills other than what you see at the Waterway/Columbus lake area.

Hi Judy;

I think your prsentation has, great color, shapes & fire effect. Actually, IMHO, I would crop off the bottom part to conform to my idea of a great abstract.

This must be what the creation of the earth looked like! I really like the land stretching across the image with a glow on either side. It adds to the electric-feel!

Thanks Gus! I decided to take your suggestion to offer an alternative.

Absolutely love the colors in the sky. Fractalius brought out some really cool effects here too! Love the original and the repost too!

Thanks Brendan, Nancy and Andrew! I love the fractal effects too. I tried it on several sunsets and this was by far the best... so far!

Hi Judy:

I love your fantastic colors and movement portrayed by both posts. Your redo is more of an abstract IMHO.

Well done

Gus
