I like the HA of tyhe bird and the perch is very cool with all the moss. But to my eyes the birds seems a bit oversharpened. Was this a large crop by chance?

Hi Kurt. About 1/3 of the image was cropped out. I find sharpening small jpegs somewhat difficult because of their size. For sharpening here I think I used USM 150%/0.4/0, but I don't recall for sure. It's what I use most of the time for jpegs like this, assuming little or no noise.

Here is the same image with no sharpening. It's already pretty sharp. Some might say don't even sharpen this jpeg.

Jim, nice pose and I like the elements in the perch. Sharpening wise I think somewhere between the two. A little more room below and rhs if you have it for my taste. Well done.
