Nice work Lee. Powerful gaze makes the image. I would shave off some of the bottom if it were mine. I am not a fan of too much OOF area in the FG.

Thanks for posting.

Would echo Roberts observations/comments here Lee.

If you can, providing you have the content, I would be tempted to move the whole crop up, giving more above and less below. Something like half the depth between the bottom of the image and where it meets the foot on the RHS about 10mm.

Nice head on look and pov. Interesting that the eyes are different sizes. I agree with Robert that a tad off the bottom would improve it.

Nice image and stare by the lioness. I'll go against the grain here as everyone knows I'm a lover of oof fg, I might add just a bit up top and rhs (to keep proportion). Nicely seen and captured.

can only echo my fellow mods on this one regarding comp, Lee...super eye contact and you were lucky to get her lying on a big rock(?) in the lush green that is Kruger over December.

trust your trip was nice?

Lee beautiful look on this lioness. I too may have removed more of the OOF foreground. That being said I wish that this was mine.

Hi Lee, I think this is more of a stronger composition now.

Would suggest next time in posting 800px high (max), means we can appreciate the image more. :)

Thanks
Steve

good to hear your trip was nice - left a comment on your blog too...

I agree, Steve...I try to post landscape orientations at 1000px wide and portrait orientations at 750-800px high - definitely makes it easier to enjoy! :)
