Photographed today in backyard. The dogwoods are in bloom, the goldfinches are back although not in their breeding plumage but I'll take what I can get for now. BG is fallen leaves.

C & C welcome.

Lovely setting for the bird. The brightness of the blooms pulls my eye away from the bird which looks a little soft but it's hard to tell sometime with small images like we post here. The colors are all very complimentary.

I agree that the white flowers distract from the bird. I would also like to see more of the bird here especially since the face is partially obscured by the stamens on the flower.

I do like the colors. I also agree with what has been previously noted.

a very cool setup, but as stated before, the focus is not on the bird + the image itself is way oversharpened.

i think the post-processing needs a re-look here especially the flowers, since they seem to have some kind of artifacts around them. also there appears a distinct black outline around the petals - which might have been a result of improper masking... ?

I love the flowers and the beautiful bird. I wonder if brightening the photo a bit would add to it.

I like the colors in this composition, but must agree with the rest of the gang. It seems that the center of attraction is the Dodwood; not the Mr. Finch. Would like to see more of the bird...:D
