Grahame, that definitely looks more natural! I'd clone the partial leaves at the top of the frame since they don't really add to the image. Also, have you tried to add blue to the BG so it separates itself from the cocoon a little more? Might be something to look into...

Butterfly is nicely done - wish that second antenna was up in the BG where we could see it better but that's a nitpick.

Definitely better. I often use BG's when no real one is available.......you just need to keep it looking natural. I do think the main issue now is the BG......so just something to keep in mind!

Hi Grahame. This is clearly better than the previous version. :) Good suggestions by Jules and Roman. The almost-white background, with the vague horizontal lines on the right side, is detracting from your image, IMO. I think an artificial background of blue or green would look great here.
