Hi Folks;

Lost a 20 year old, 15' high Night Blooming Cerus this winter. They removed the remains yesterday, and I was able to move my feeders to get about 3 hours more light on them & eliminate annoying shadows, also use the blue sky as a background with smaller camera adjustments.

Photographed this male Costas Hummingbird in our garden this morning.

Will now plant the Cereus replacement in a different place.

Comments welcome and always appreciated.

Hi Gus,

A super image, with excellent bird details, colors, and positioning in the frame. I like the white line framing the image, but I realize that 's a matter of personal preference. The head is slightly turned away, but the forward leaning stance gives the bird a sense of purpose and makes up for it.

I like the image. I'd probably lighten the eye up and personally get rid of the white border.
Cheers

Gus, really nice colors and a good job on the exposure. I agree with Martin about losing the white frame for presentation here.

Cheers,
