Having little time to head out i just went trough some of my older Kingfisher files and came across this one. It is fun watching them catch prey from tiny fish at the start of the nesting period up to large newts and froglets like this one at the end of their nesting period.

greetings,

Super pose showing off his catch, sharp, and those colours are perfect. Killer BG too.

Other then being a little hot on the white patch, looks real good as Stuart mentioned. You might want to play around with the white area to ilk out a bit more detail if it is there.

Now those are the images I know and are evocative of Jeroen.

Would like to see a larger version of this bird to appreciate the full glory of this lovely bird.

Great catch, Jeroen. Good comments above. Lovely soft light and DOF covers the bird well while rendering a lovely BG.
