Nice looking drake. Yes, woodies are great subjects, with interesting behaviors and great colors.
Drop adds. Sharp.

Generally images are more engaging if the subject is coming towards us, or at least the head more towards us.
I might consider cropping up from below a bit, and also clone out the separate eye reflection caused by the ripples.

The colors are great, but in my opinion, a little lower angle would make a even better composition.

Lovely sharp detail and the texture of the water looks great...I agree re the angling away from you and also lacking some detail in the black plumage...Nicely done Noelle!
