Nice image Peter. Even though I like closeup tight crops for this kind of images, your comp is working well too.

Well done Peter. Nice to see the wider perspective once in a while, lets those of us that have never been to Africa see the surroundings that these cats have to hide in. Techs look good as well.

I like the space Peter, I for one, am always try to get closer. It does show the surroundings, which sometimes is also nice TFS

Peter,

I like the wider view but am bothered by so much OOF FG between the bottom of the frame and the cat, and the location of the cat in the frame. i feel a ROT composition is perfect for this and offer up a variation of your mage.

I prefer the original post...I like the incl of the environment and the colors are amazing...The sky, the savannah and the blood on the Springboks mouth..Great African image Peter!!

I agree with the space. Something different and it works very well.

nice wide perspective of a great sighting - did you observe the kill too?
I quite like Robert's repost as the OOF FG was slightly distracting to my eye

Peter - a wide view not often captured. Well composed and well done. I agree that the oof grass/rocks in the fg is slightly distracting but think that there is too much sky in Robert's repost. Maybe something in between the two would work.

Rachel

Great image, I much prefer this style to tight crops.

I would agree with reposted PAno crop from Robert.
