Nice image Sid. I like the inclusion of the surroundings. I know this spot well, missed a big 7x7 here by less than a minute in Sept :(. Looks like you had a productive trip, glad you were able to get a variety of critters. As mentioned on other posts, you have done well with you exposure in the snow. Once you figure it out you wonder why it was ever a problem. Well done.

Todd,
Trust me. Two straight seasons my backgrounds looked like white paper. I was very particular about exposure this year. No more white papers....:p

I really like the inclusion of the background with the mountains and a strip of sky.

Great idea to go with a vertical here. Exposure is great as well is the detail in the snow. Not a big fan of the fence though... JR

Super comp Sid, and I like both the placement of the Elk, and the snowy BG.

Another excellently exposed image. I like the pose of the elk and the repeating ridge lines in the BG.

Sid,

I am going to be the odd man out here and say the Slightly OOF BG is distracting. My preference would have been for sharp near to far. With the 100-400mm probably unlikely in one image so you could make the image in the OP and then focus in the BG and make that image then stitch the two in PS.
