House or Winter Wren?

I photographed this wren a few years ago in my backyard. It was early October. I had always assumed it was a house wren, but looking at again now I'm not entirely sure. Could it possibly be a winter wren? :confused:

Looks like a Winter Wren to me. The tail looks very short, the bill short and thin, and even though there's some shadow it looks like the undertail coverts and flanks are pretty dark. The pale stripe above the eye is good for Winter Wren (should be weak in House). Finally, I've found the tiny little white dots on the upperparts to be normal in Winter Wren.
