Yosemite Chapel and Snow.

5D MKII f/11 ISO 500 at 1/80th Second Manual Mode light PP.

This image was taken on November 20, 2010.
An overnight snow storm left over 8 inches of fresh snow. I experimented with long exposures and a flash light to capture some of the snow fall, but I really liked this one by using a 550 speedlite flash which highlighted more snow. To keep the snow off of the lens I used an umbrella attached to my tripod with a manfrotto super clamp.

I also took a short video of this winter scene and you can see it here

Merry Christmas to Everyone Here at B.P.N.

A lovely image, carefully and imaginatively made, with flash and umbrella! I prefer the darker color of the building in the video, or at least something closer to it. The lightness of it in the picture, relative to the video, seems a bit incongruous with the quiet, fairly dark setting. Continued success on your trip!

Hi Gerald, nicely composed! The image emits that old Christmas feel which I personally like very much.
Enjoyed the peaceful snowfall in the video. I too wish you and your family and heathy and merry Christmas...
