Two Different Perspectives

Both of these images were taken this summer at Coil Oil Point Reserve. The Snowy plovers there are very accommodating and will usually allow a close approach. The first image is a tight portrait of a juvi resting in the sand. The second was made at 100mm and shows the habitat they live in.

Both images were made with the same lens.

I like the sandstorm effect of the first image, very effective isolation. Well exposed, sharp, good head angle.

The second one is useful as a record shot.

Hey Aidan, just love how the plover blends into the FG, and good placement too. Good complimentary colour of the BG. Thanks for sharing the typical enviroment in your second post.

Aidan, this is excellent. love your shorebird shots. Loved the FG blur and the HA with the catchlight. Terrific sharpness and exposure. might add a smidge at the top.

You do some really good work with the 100-400 Aidan! My only request would be to post it at 1024 pixels wide.
