the bg is what i just cant do anything with. because the place i put myself and waited so long for a perch was been occupied by cormorants later and then luckily this male came almost in great range i got some full frame images.

Mital, BG is superb...like how the head is within the dark band. Terrific angle and freeze on this one. Very well exposed, too. Fine image...

Mital:

If the band had to be there, I think you placed it just right.
I like the IQ, and the fact that he is standing for the flap, so you can see the entire profile of his body.
The water and reflection look unusually smooth, did you do any post on the water?

Very nice.

Cheers

Randy

Well timed for the flap, with a good low perspective. Sharp, and I like the calm water. Maybe a bit tight on the right.

PDS: pretty darned spectacular. There is one small problem; can you spot figure it out???

The Eye (pupil)...Mital a lovely image, sharp, lots of detail and good wing position, thanks for sharing.

Awesome image quality and exposure. A bit more head turn would perhaps have improved this image.

Mital - great shot, for all the reasons already mentioned. Is it just my eye or has the detail been smoothed out of the foreground wing?

You are correct sir! Well done. Still a fine image.

Paul, the pupil could use a bit of Eye Doctoring :)

I really like the image, but I'm wondering if NR has been applied to parts of the plumage as some areas look smoothed-out.

Good timing on your part, with a action at the peak of the back-stretch.

Yep a nice head turn would have put this image on top shelf.
Great exposure and details.

Very well done mital. Love the detail and whole pose of the bird.
I need a long way to reach to this level to take such nice pictures :o.

thanks all for your kind suggestions and pointings. i've done nothing on the bird except did some NR chrome and lume with bit of high pressure on the bg as it was cloudy that made the noise prominent on the bg which i dont wanted actually.

thanks again..

Great soft light, sharpness, and wing flap!! Nice low angle too. The bar in the BG bugs me a little, but it is a personal preference.

Looking forward to more!
