Nice pose, hanging talons, and spread wings. Looks as if it might be a huge crop as image quality is poor and colors look washed out. As presented does not look at all sharp.

Thanks Artie. I uploaded a low quality jpeg to the site. The link below the pic better represents the image. It was a small crop actually.

Well, that one's a bit better, about 78,497 times better. It is quite sharp and vivid. You gotta be doing something wrong with your JPEG creation. All of my images posted everywhere are 800 wide less then 200kb....

I make mine from my optimized TIFFs via a generic action as detailed in Digital Basics. (https://store.birdsasart.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=252)

Agree with Arthur's comment re the original posting. The linked image certainly is much better.

I'd prefer to see just a bit more room at the top and right. JR

WOW That linked version is very punchy!! I think the light on the bird is superb. I like the sheen on the primaries and secondaries. Shame about the shadows but that's being super picky. I haven't managed a raptor photo anywhere near this great. Makes me want to go a chase some Kestrels or Kites:D

Linked image is superb and shows an interesting aspect of the eagle's flight behaviour!

Linked image is infinitely better. Great exposure and detail. In a perfect world I might want the head to be clear of the wing, but this ain't a perfect world.
