This photo was taken at the Visitor's Center of Saguaro National Park West in early to mid-morning last February. I'm not sure that this is the appropriate forum to post the photo (or whether it should be shown at all!), but I think it may interest folks who like optical illusions.

Canon 7D, Canon 10-22 mm lens at 21mm. Exposure was at ISO 200, 1/250, f/6.7, multi-segment metering. Besides cropping a bit off the right side that showed the desert, the only adjustment was curves.

Comments and Criticism are appreciated.

Sorry for the trouble, the link I used was incorrect. Many thanks to Sid Garige for sorting it out for me.

I hope the image was worth the trouble.

Interesting image Ken. Great patterns made by the light peeking through the beams.

I really like the strong geometric pattern here.

Yes it really is very pleasing to the eye. I wonder if the architect had this in mind. I'm sure she or he did. Well done to capture this.

Kent,

I edited you OP and added the link to correct it. You can PM a forum moderator if you have issues in the future.

I have been to this Visitors Center. Image OK here as travel shots are allowed.

Strong patterns here nicely composed. I would try a crop from the right up to the bushes (getting rid of the bushes and the part of the wall that the pattern is not on. That will strengthen the image by removing the non-patterned area that grabs the viewers attention since it is different.

Hi Kent, I like the sepia tone along with the various patterns. Agree with Robert's suggestion regarding the crop. I kept going back and forth with "to crop or not to crop" and settled on the crop which IMO makes the image stronger. Good eye on an image one must take their time to view...

Thanks to everyone who helped me and/or commented on this image. I have followed the advice offered and I think it has improved my image.

I have said many times that the folks at BPN are as good as can be found and that the membership is the best deal in photography. I keep telling members of my camera clubs that.

Thanks once again,
kent
