This is a setup in my front yard. The perch is beside a water tray.

Very nice perch, great background and interesting subject. Looks like flash is just a touch over powered. What setting did you use with your flash if you dont mind.

Yes Sid you are right about the flash and I thought I had corrected it enough, could have done without the beamer but didn't have time to remove the magnifier. Flash was at 50mm zoom, -2/3 ev.

Using flash and better beamer combination is tricky. Better beamer doubles flash effective range. Setup images like this we should always pay attention to flash minimum distance and subject distance.
