Hi Phil, nice to see you here and wish you would post some of your stuff, as it sums up the weather we are having at present. Don't normally post Avian, especially elsewhere, tend to leave it with you guys.

cheers
Steve:)

Steve:

The are lovely creatures.
Sharp. The whites on the left side of his facial disc (as we view it) look a bit overexposed, but I am at my work computer, which isn't reliable for fine exposure determinations.

Looks like he is sitting on a bale of hay.

Is there a story behind this one?

Cheers

Hey Randy

I think the exposure is OK, but am not looking at the original at present. You guys are tough on this isde, LOL. Sadly no story on this one. Guess I need to think hard about the next posting here. :D:D:D

Steve:

We try to be helpful:) I will recheck your owl when I get home, better monitor.
The only other point that comes to mind, is that I might burn in the hay just a bit, make it a bit darker so it doesn't draw the eye away from the bird.

I hope you keep posting on Avian!

Cheers

Glad to see this posted on Avian. A beautiful bird with great sideways look and good detail.

Steve, I like the whites.....you've brought out the softness in the feathers very well. Terrific IQ.

Hi Steve, good looking owl, and I really like the colour of the plumage. Nice and sharp too.

Thanks everyone, it can be rather daunting sometimes posting on this section, as it real sets a very high standard of images, so appreciate ALL feedback.

Stuart you are coming on leaps & bounds, with some fantastic images, a credit to YOU and to the Avian team.

Thanks
Steve

Steve:

I looked at the whites when I got home, and they look very good on my better monitor. Sorry for the false alarm earlier.

Keep them coming!!
