I really like the comp on this shot. I also like the complimentary effect of the plant and BG coloration to the bird's color. I really don't see any issues with this at all. Well done.

Pretty sweet shot Tim, love the composition, is the catkin on the right partially snapped?

Thanks David

No it is not snapped. I clipped off one small branch right at the bend though, so that may be why it looks snapped.

hi Tim,

Love the pose and perch. The BG really makes your subject pop. Excellent work!

I will probably come across as the lone dissenter. I would like a tad more room on top and the bird set a bit towards the right. Other than that little nit (on my part) it excels.

These catkins are fun to photograph by themselves let alone with a siskin. Good work!

I know what Mike is trying to say, but I feel the catkins are placed just so to balance the image perfectly. A very succesful photograph!!

Loads of impact here Tim - a really lovely image. The cascading flower heads add so much to the composition of this nicely portrayed Sisken. Well done!!
