Mike,
A nice habitat shot with an interesting walking(?) pose.

Awesome scene, I'd love to photograph a bittern like this!! I like the "stepping out" pose. Personally I'd prefer a less square comp. I thought the colours were off, so I loaded into PS and found that you posted in RGB...you should post in sRGB for web as most of us won't see the colours as you intend them to be. Here I simply converted to sRGB and reposted (you won't likely see a difference but many will). Much better now IMO... ;-)

Good catch by Daniel...the repost looks great. I really like the habitiat, Mike, the pose, and the intense look.

Hi Michael, lovely image of the Bittern in environment and nice pose to go with it. I like the detail captured in the feather pattern. Well done.

Lovely pose of what I would describe as a Bittern "strut", in typical habitat (although I have only seen them in Europe).

Repost brings out much more, and I rushed to check my conversion process. I am OK:)

Mike, Very nice pose and catch! I like Daniel's repost and the warm golden color tones add nicely to this.:)

Great habitat shot, with warm glow to the reeds. Nice head angle and pose.
