This was taken back in January this year when I went to go and shoot some aquatic birds. Well it turned overcast, and as there werent any ducks or geese to shoot on the water, I went to the back of the hide and found these guys fluttering about the grasslands. Taken at Marievale, south of Johannesburg. The BG is as shot, OOF grassland.

Stuart,

This is a beauty you have a much better BG than mine and soft light, I am afraid I only have sky or distant mountains, I realy need a ladder:D

Fantastic background and pose of the bird. Perhaps the blacks in the head could be a bit lighter... Great job. JR

Stuart, great capture. Love the tail. The BG is beautiful. I wish the head had not merged with the wings.
