Hi

Another image of this swan taken in sequence from my previous posting on etlf
this time no objects to clone out under its feet. I really like the wingtips as I think it conveys the lift/air under the big bird!

SS 1/1000, f 6.3, ISO 400, FL380 Canon 40D 100-400 , bird was 82 M away, handheld, cropped out to frame.

This one is really soft and grainy, you also want the bird to be a bit farther from BG for smoother bokeh.

The habitat is definitely more attractive, but the bird suffers from the same issues that it did in the last frame. How big of a crop was this?

I am posting the OOC shot, you can see the crop was very ambitious.:( the IQ suffered as a result.

I need to get much closer and get the exposures spot on
Hopefully I will get some much better shots locally as I am aware of 2000 Whooper Swans on a reserve near here.
