G12 CR2s not recognized or convertable!

Hi, we have the new G12 and so far we cannot do anything with the images!

While they are opened in Breeze Browser, Picasa doesn't recognize them, Adobe DNG Converter will not convert them, and LR3 says that they are not a recognizable RAW file.

While typing this I decided to try Bridge: no joy!

Apparently no converter, either PC or Mac, is recognizing the G12 images.

Any ideas how to convert them to jpegs? They are "just" family shots taken by - you know who - SWMBO.

Have you tried Digital Photo Professional that shipped with the camera? When I bought my 7D, I had to use DPP for several weeks.

What Dave said, try the Canon software until the others update their converters

I was told in a PM that the advanced version of Camera Raw 6.3 will do the conversion.

Yup, and Breeze Browser issued an update yesterday for the G12. Jackie will be happy when Picasa recognizes her G12.

My wife's loving her G12. It's an amazing camera I have to admit!
She's pleased she can finally edit her RAW files now in Adobe Camera Raw.
