Out here is Utah, Roamin with Roman while he works on his night photography book (stay tuned...you can do this too). This is one of my first night images...helps to go with the pro...Tripod mounted Canon 5DMKii, ISO 6400, F/4.0, SS 30s., Taken while my trusty assistant (Roman) painted with a mag light. Clouds rushed in pretty quick after this shot, but still have another week of this!

Hi Nick, Nice capture with the MW in the center. Good detail in the rocks and a full pallette of stars.
Small nit regarding bringing the brightness down a small bit on the left to match the right.
Overall very nice! Keep roamin!!

Nick, Awesome first night time image and you are right it does help to go with a pro. Looking forward to Roman's new book. I can't wait to learn everything so I can get out there and capture a fantastic scene like this. Nicely done.:)

Nick,
Great image. I like the composition. The galaxy M31 (as well as the Milky Way), and the Double cluster (top of frame) are prominent.

excellent starscape here!! my only nit would be the left and right corners of the rocks which are not as evenly lit as the rest...:)
