7D, f/8, 1/1000, iso 500, 500mm.

Taken Sunday morning at a local sanctuary as they headed for the open water. Fun subjects to practice on.

Thanks for looking and all comments appreciated!

I like! Very sharp and well exposed. Excellent wing positions. The two faint vertical streaks nearthe face are unfortunate IMO, but should be easy to eliminate if within your post-processing ethics. If anything else, I wish fro a bit more room in front and above, but still good as is. Super stuff!

Gary:

Really nice light, full up pose, sharp, well exposed, nice BG.
I do agree with Daniel about the vertical stripes, but an easy fix.

Cheers

Thanks Daniel appreciate your time! Those vertical streaks are trees, unfortunately they are in most of the shots. Adding canvas should not be to hard. More or less trying to get down the flow of capturing birds in flight.

Gary,

You caught this goose with plenty of shutter speed and enough depth of field to cover most of its body....well done. The feather detail is extra nice here as they are a bit ruffled and well exposed. A very lovely shot, except for those two vertical lines that were just nice enough to cut right through the most important part of your shot. Oh well, you said it was just practice!:)

Gray, this is a beautiful shot. The wing details, position and light are great. The two vertical reflections across the head are the only things that bother.

Good shot! Your whites are getting hot, but the window of perfect exposure with black and white birds is so narrow. The vertical streaks are easily removable.

Thanks all appreciate the comments, I have a lot of work ahead of me to capture the quality of images that are posted here.

Gary that is right up there, excellent flight shot with everything having been noted above. I am impressed with the sharpness at 1/1000th, especially the wings.
