Would have loved a large Bull ele there instead of a (slightly centered) 4X4:(
Created using 3 exp blend in Photomatix Pro3.

Very dramatic! Like you say, an ele there would make it score 11/10.

Hey Marc,
Ele would be better.....but I am wondering about a few things in this image......As the sun beams are going to the right.....was there too many distracting elemtns to go that direction? For me the RH side of the image from the 4x4 over works with nice details but the LH side just stars to lose the drama. If you have more room right....I would go with a vert on that side. Still nicely handled overall.

Hi Marc, Very dramatic sky with the beams adding alot to the impact. Roman's observations are good that the real drama is to the right of the 4x4 with the beams flowing in that direction. Agree about a comp where the 4x4 is on the left and more room on the rt giving the beams more play...

Nice scene, Marc. I don't know if it's noise or perhaps just a difficult to jpeg file, but the IQ here is not great.

Marc,

I agree with Dave and Roman comments.

Iconic African landscape, need to be a little less strong on the sharpening.

Appreciate the comments everyone.

Thanks Tim

No sharpening at all was used, and hardly ever in any of my landscape images.

Mard,

Surely this is a case for a touch of cloning?
