In keeping with my current series on water images, here's one I did awhile back that I converted to black and white.

I don't remember my exact workflow but I generally do a black & white adjustment layer in PS and then run a curves adjustment until I find what I like. I also did a high pass filter to pop the layers a little more.

Hi Julie, I think this is my favorite of your water images. They lend themselves very well to B&W conversions I think.

it looks like a wet metal or something maybe chromium , nice one :)

Thanks everyone. Kostas, I had the same thought when I did the conversion. It looks like melted mercury to me. I wish the file size could be bigger - I had to really downsize it to get it to fit on the site. It's a beauty when it's a higher resolution.

Beautiful composition, Julie. I think b&w makes these patterns so much more interesting. Nice diagonal perspective. TFS.

Jules, I love this in B&W. It reminds me of moire silk and it's lovely:o
