From the local botanical gardens a couple months ago. I tried putting the center of the flower to be in the lower right, but I actually like this comp better.
50D, Canon 60mm macro

Hi Aidan. Nice colors and I like the comp you chose. I also like the relatively shallow DOF - my eye goes right to the sharp pistol and the surrounding stamens. You might consider blurring the in-focus portions of the petals in the lower right quarter of the frame such that only the flower center remains sharp. Well done.

Hey Aidan,
I really like the placement in the frame on this one and you have enough DOF to pull it off. I really like Steve's suggestion on the blur of the LR....and green areas for me too! Overall though....very nicely done!
