Been busy with tons of stuff to do, so seems like I haven't been shooting in a long while. Got the new nikon D7000, so had to take time to do some testing. Very impressed with the performance of this mid/low priced camera. Tamron 60mm macro, f/32, natural light.

Gorgeous! You have a gift for arranging elements just right. Wonderful shades of pink. Great details. Glad you like your new camera. It is gratifying when a pro does not go for the most expensive equipment available. :-)

The colors, the convergence of elements and the graceful stem leading the eye to the center of the image make this very special and beautiful. This makes me long all the more for the arrival of a D7000 body I pre-ordered some time ago.

I note that you shot the image at f/32 using natural light. What ISO equiv. did you use? I ask, because I wonder how the D7000 will handle noise at higher ISO values.

Mike: I love the colors and the composition in this image. And it's good to know it was taken with the D7000. We have one on order and it's good to see an image from one.

Hey Linda, the 7000 worked fine at 3200, just a little noise, but nothing that can't be cleaned with a noise reduction program.

Mike, you definitely have an eye for setting up these arrangements! The comp looks great as do the colors!

Hi Mike. I agree with the others - very nice colors, comp, and sharpness. I like how the curved stem leads my eye into the frame.

Mike, as the others have said - a nice arrangement of elements here. Glad to hear D7000 is producing great results.
