Geese make wonderful subjects dont they
we have large numbers of these Canada's here in UK
Ev +.33 f 11.0 SS 1/320 ISO 400
CANON 40D
100-400 IS @ 135MM

I like the composition with goose on thirds and looking into the picture

Ha ha, I get it:)
Light angle and light quality were not on your side here which caused lots of contrast and shadows. I'd revisit the raw file to see if some detail is recoverable on the whites. There is also evidence of cloning in ULC. Good vertical-ish comp, and I like the texture in the water.

True with the light; had a go at detail and is now much better I think
correct on ULC cloning will have to work on that technique ; there is a pesky gull there which is distracting.

Yes those pesky gulls (I love photographing them , but they do tend to be in the way sometimes!!). The repost is a big improvement, although the whites now seem a bit dark (grayish). Just a touch lighter would be good. The water looks alot better too - still some cloning evidence but much less obvious.
