This is a little Yellow Wood-sorrel. The bloom is about 1/2 inch in size and I see them for a few weeks in the spring every year where I do all of my nature shooting. With this one I was playing with the DOF to blur all but the center of the flower and shot it at f 4.8 and selective manual focus. Made with Nikkor AF 105/2.8D on a tripod.

Jim, It's beautiful. I'd hang it on my wall. The colors and softness are sweet. I wish the OOF petal in the FG was a little lower but it is still wonderful!

Jim, very nice macro work and lovely soft feel. I agree with Denise about that oof petal, would have been nice to have it out of the way. Really like the colors and composition.

Wonderful selective focus! I like the sharpness of the center and the slightly different color. Nice composition with the diagonal lines. Beautiful colors. The orange bit of color to the right of the center might be toned down just a bit. Really lovely image.

Hi Jim, Very nice composition with center down in the corner. Love the colors and shallow DOF. I agree with the others on the OOF petal in the LRC, but it's still a very nice capture.
