Here's another of my female white-throated rock thrushes from last month. This is about as unimpeded a shot as one can get in that forest of locust trees near the Yellow Sea.

Device: Nikon D300
Lens: VR 600mm F/4G
Focal length: 600mm
VR: OFF
Aperture: F/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/125s
Exposure Mode: Manual
Exposure Comp.: +0.3EV
Metering: Center-Weighted
ISO Sensitivity: ISO 500

Notes: Shot in mirror-up mode. Used shutter-release cable.

A beautiful little bird. Love the comp and habitat. I would warm up the image a bit.

Craig, glad you managed a clear shot, and we can see his full detail nicely. Good HA, and I can see this as a vertical too.

Strange about vertical. I initially thought that too, but I really like how you left the trunk in the shot. A very nice pose and good work. I am really enjoying seeing different birds. Congrats! :)

This one put a big smile on my face; the bird has a neat attitude as if it were proudly posing.

Be right back with a crop :)

For some reason this one screams 3X2 to me....

Great pose, HA and habitat. I like the OOF foilage in the BG as well. Great image Craig!
