Love the pose, placement in the frame and great job on the whites. I'm seeing a halo around the Eagle.

Beautiful colors and exposure looks good - I'm seeing the halo as well. What kind of postprocessing did you do?

Also, IMHO the crop could be a bit tighter so we can see more detail on this magnificent bird!

Ken, good wing span, and you have captured some good underwing detail. Overall nice and sharp, and there is evidence of a halo around the FE.

Agree with above comments regarding the halo. I would also crop tighter.

I too am seeing the halo, and I don't know, the sky seems a kind of coldish blue. I'm not going to assume that a tighter crop is possible (perhaps the eagle was small in the original and you've cropped your shot as tight as IQ will allow). But if you can show us more of this powerful raptor without too much of a sacrifice of IQ, then I'll welcome the result.

Not to sure where the halo came from (no S& H), bit I should have noticed.

Here is a repost which I hope corrects the problem.

Thanks for all of the good advice:cheers:

I'm not seeing any big dropoff in quality in the repost, and now you've got me closer to the eagle. Thanks!

I think the repost is worlds apart from the original and that halo is not there either. A nice view of this magnificent raptor Ken. Congrats! :)

I'm liking the tighter crop
