It was getting really dark and I could barely operate the camera....there is color shift and the head angle is not ideal but I like the atmosphere and the sharp reflection in the water. It was shot at 12800 iso at 1/45 f2.8 with Nikon D3s and 400/2.8.

Thanks for looking, Giulio

Giulio,

Reminds me of Bence Mate's images. Soft light and excellent exposure. Great details too.
A+ Job.

The head angle is not bad at all. This image is sharp and the mood and colors are killer. As is the reflection. This is a superb image.

The reflection really make it for me, sharp with amazing color. Really like the mood in this one too, good job on getting this shot.

A good demonstration of what your fine lens and the amazing D3S are capable of. ISO 12800? Amazing. In addition, you got a good shot--rich colors, beautiful reflection. Your eye and your setup eked out a fine image.

A stunning image. I'd take a little off the right side to get him less out of center.

Artie, I am very happy to receive such positive feedback from you and others and pays me off for the 8 + 8 hours drive to Hortobagy National Park in Hungary last week-end. It is not the best time of the year for birds in this region but if I don't shoot regularly, I start shaking :D and it's time to jump in the car and wander looking for opportunities. In two full days I did not get many images but this was one of them.

Jeez, I did not see the ISO 12,800. Truly amazing, and a good suggestion by Alan above.
