In winter plumage the head and neck can become quite dark.

Halifax, NS recently.

D300, 300 f/4 AF-S, 1.4TC, slight crop, nr and Gaussian blur applied to bg. 1/640, f/8, ISO640. Hand-held.

Hi

Really like this, bird pops from BG, nice sharp details and tones are lovely, as is the general positioning and HA

I Would recrop with tail included if you have it.

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean - the tail is there under the primary extension, above the right hand tip of the rock.

A nice simple gull shot that pops from the screen. I think that Richard U. Has possibly not scrolled to the edge of the image. It opens with the primaries/tail clipped on my screen too, but I just need to scroll the blue bar to the right. Still, I wonder if a touch more space above and behind would improve the image.

Hi

Strange indeed since it now shows full image; earlier I am sure it did not but I cant explain why ?

I am sure this had nothing to do with browser/scrolling - odd but hey whatever looks great now !

Nice exposure and detail, I have a similar problem i.e. i have to scroll to the right to get the tail in - even after hitting F11 I suspect it is a limitation of my 19" screen.

Hi,

My screen is 17" (Macbook Pro) and I don't have to scroll! However, I noticed today that when I look at this site on my Iphone, the thumbnails (but not the full images) are all missing their right hand eadges. All very strange, and I wonder - do you have to scroll to see any other images?

Hi Richard

In truth I have never had to use scroll on here I have a 24" wide screen monitor on 1900 res,
whatever prompted me to post earlier has now gone; I cant really comment on your I Phone experience as I dont have one but I have in the past seen that with thumbnails on my website control area when preparing pics.

regards
Richard

Nice details on the bird but a bit too tight...
