Great Blue Heron from my local lake last Friday. I find blurs to be very subjective. I've done a number of them (intentionally and otherwise), and more often than not they don't come out the way I visualized them. For some reason this one appealed to me, so I'd be interested to hear others' comments. Minor levels adjustment; full width, pano crop from top and added slight canvas to the bottom.

Bill, this is very surreal...yes, it appeals to me too.

Hi Bill,

It appeals to me too. The overall effect is more like an impressionist painting than a photograph. Suitable for Halloween, it looks almost ghostly!

Bill, I like the amount of blur. It looks painterly. I'm not fond of the color cast and would love to see it w/o it. The way the neck bends is lovely.

Thank you Kaustubh, Richard and Denise for the comments. Denise, I hadn't realized quite how much blue cast there was until you pointed it out. Here's a repost with a #85 filter applied at 25% density. This was just a quick fix to the jpeg, and looks a bit dingy. I'll go back to the master TIFF and try setting a white point for a better result. Thanks.
