One of Europe's most beautiful birds, the male Bar-tailed Godwit, stopped by my photo hide for a minute during his fall migration.

Wonderful bird and birch. Great colours too. Removing the OOF stuff in the water would give you a pretty much perfect image. Way to go!!

Classic portrait of the species. Great to see a wader's feet so well.

Daniel, this is a bird I've chased in Alaska, Iceland, Greenland and soon Norway (next year), it has always eluded me. Just a lovely image, nuff said...

Fantastic image. I like the composition with the bird on the rock. Nice and sharp too, lots of great details and colour.

Yes, July 5th, fall migration for a shorebird. This bird was in high breeding plumage for a southbound migrant and your image did it justice. Head angle, sharpness, EXP, and rich colors are all wonderful.

The best place to go is Holland in early May, but you may finding it breeding in northernmost part of Norway, although it is rare.
