I seeded the top of this old fencepost in the wild raspberries with some black-oil sunflower seeds and set-up to see who came along. The White-crowned Sparrow on the left was enjoying a snack when the Harris's Sparrow on the right came in and tried to bully him off the perch. In hindsight, I wish I had a faster shutter speed set to freeze the action of the White-crowned Sparrow's right foot...

Great interaction shot Jeff. You got both birds with catchlights in the eyes and the heads look sharp. I like this! :)

Great action Jeff. Detail and sharpness look good. I wish the BG was clear of the leaves behind the flying bird but I understand taking what we can. Nice capture.

I love the action you caught and agree with you about having a faster shutter speed to freeze the action but this is a nice image none the less.

Lovely shot, if it were mine I would have a go at cloning or brushing the leaves behind the left hand bird - easier said than done, but on a shot as good as this I would have a go.

Magic lighting and action here Jeff, would be happy to have this regardless of s/s.

Jeff, nice job with the little setup and I like the interaction. I'm just fine with the motion as is.

Good interaction captured, and I like the aggressive posture of the bird on the left. Although a tad busy, the foliage isnt quite that distracting, as the focus is on the interaction.

Really like the action and the raised foot! The red leaves add some nice color to the image.

Pretty darned amazing image. I would tighten it up with a bit off the top and the bottom. I recognized the motif from your first killer Harris's Sparrow image.
