I thought the sunset was particularlty pleasing a few weeks ago despite the lack of clouds (the thin strip across the sun was a nice bonus though!). Taken at one of my favorite haunts, a 5 minute drive or 15 minute bike ride from home. I was hoping to get the sun perfectly centered between the trees, but those were too distant meaning I had to move right ALOT to do this...which brought in unwanted elements into the frame. This was my compromise.

Nice one Daniel. Using the 100-400 @ 400mm gave you a nice big sunrise. Good choice.

Very nice Daniel. You managed to not blow out the sun completely which is what usually happens to me. I like the way you framed it even if it's not centered between the trees.

Very sweet image. I think it works better with the sun offset a bit. Really nice job on the exposure.

Wonderful sunset capture, Daniel. I like how the trees look so lacy and I really like the offcenter comp too.

Hey Daniel,
Yep....the 400mm gave the sun a nice prominance with the trees framing the sun nicely....so it was a good compromise! Great job on the exposure with just enough details to add some interest. I'd like to see if yo ucan get a touch of detail in the ULC.....even if it is just the gaps in the leaves.....but overall nicely done!

I think your compromise worked out well Daniel. Roman summed up my thoughts well.
