I love, love, love this time of year! Here's an image from yesterday's outing. This is a leaf from a Sweetgum tree with another Sweetgum tree in the BG.

Beautiful composition, Julie. Love the colors and the framing of the leaves. I would have preferred the dark stem slightly more in focus - that's just me :) TFS.

The colors, composition, and clarity are wonderful. Makes me miss Autumn (I grew up in upstate New York, but live in Florida now)

I would have to say that this photo is great. It's fascinating how you can turn a leaf into a beautiful photo with a dreamy background.

I guess I have to try out this type of photography too. :)

It's astounding how much beauty we have around us in the most simple of things.....this image reminds me to slow down and look for it:cheers:

Sweet background light, Jules. You featured the yellow leaf well in the frame. Not sure how I feel about the OOF twig. I just love sweetgum trees. They hold on to their green leaves the longest of any tree, I think. I've got one in my front yard. It's young, so not too many of those spiky seed balls yet.

Jules, I love this composition. Background blur and color set the leaves off perfectly. I miss autumn (we don't get much here and I grew up in New England).
