In case some of you want to try to track down migrant songbirds, there is an excellent resource maintained by David LaPuma. David is studying radar ornithology, and is using NEXRAD radar to see when flocks of migrants are moving, and to try to predict when/where there will be good fallouts of migrants.

It is focused mainly on New Jersey, but the methodologies can be applied to any place covered by NEXRAD. It's certainly not perfect and won't tell you everything you need to know to determine if it will be a good day for birds and photography, but it can often predict the difference between a day with a handful of shooting opportunities vs. one with dozens.

The site can be found at http://www.woodcreeper.com/.
