We had a White Kite (first time recorded in CT) hanging around locally for the Summer. It flew the coup last weekend with the temps dropping into the low 40's and should be heading South along the East coast. It hung out for months at a meadow covered shore point here in CT. It would capture and eat voles and mice in the early morning and just before sunset daily. If any locals in mid- coastal NJ know where the raptors feed, you should be on the lookout for the White Kite. It is very easy to spot because it hovers in one location over the field until it finds it's prey.
Good Luck!!!
