They were very generous this year. Presented these polar bear cubs with an oil containment boom in advance for this Christmas. It was really heart breaking to see these little guys playing and chewing on oil infested PVC material.

Images like this make you despair, you would not believe all of the rubbish on the beaches of Svalbard.

It is sad to see the bears around all that garbage. Your images shows that very well.

Was this left from a recent spill or an old one? Looking at that surf in the background, I'm sure these booms were very effective!:(
