I shot this in Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary in India last month. I could get very close to the bird and get this image. This is a full frame image.

Canon 1000D, 300 f/4 +1.4x
SS 1/320
f/7.1
ISO 400

Lovely sharpness,Bg ,HA . The frame is very tight , Always try to keep some space in front of the bird or the direction of the beak

A beautiful bird, with colors working nicely against the beautiful background. Sharp and well-exposed. Ditto Ram's comment about some room in front.

Techs, bird, and BKGR superb but it does need 3X as much more room in front.

Considering your angle of capture I can understand having a composition such as this without any room in front. I think it still is a gorgeous bird and shot pretty bg low angle and detail.

Thanks Guys for the comments. I did want space at the front but I was so close to the bird that I was scared that getting up and removing my TC would spook it. Hence I went in for the tighter composition.

Thanks again for the observations. :)
