Dear All,

Made this image of Brahminy Starling in Bangalore (India) last week. Day was very dull, hence bumped up the ISO. I have cloned out few distracting twigs from the Image. Your C&C are most welcome.

Gear : Canon 500 f/4 +1.4E on 1D MK III. Hand held
ISO 640, F/5.6, -2/3 EV, 1/1200 shutter speed

Best Regards,
Subbu

Superbly beautiful species Subbu and a loverly BKGR. If it were mine I would eliminate the stick protruding behind the perch. And superbly sharp.

The image looks better but only 1,000 times. Your work on the JPEG looks as if it were a tiny bit sloppy judging by the edge of the branch. Do you know Protect and Defend Cloning?

What a nice bird and well captured, sharp and good defenition in the yellows I also prefer it without the oof branch. Never seen this species before. Thanks for sharing.

I like the pose, perch and details of this beautiful bird. I like the OOF branch removed as well. Nice job!

For some reason I prefered this with the branch there - I thought it balanced nicely with your subject (I do like it without too and surely would not have wanted a branch added if I would have seen the new version first!). Superb looking bird - I love the plumage transition between the neck and breast!!

Thanks a lot for all your comments. Artie, I did not knew about this method. Great Article you have on http://www.birdsasart.com/bn275.htm. Thanks again for this.

Beautiful image & very well captured. It is sharp with a great BG. I too prefer the OP. With the OOF branch removed it appears artificial & contrived to my eye.

for sure subbbu this is truly and awesome image .. i find that branch with original post better like daniel said as it gives a counter balance act for me. but thats my personal choice :)

Lovely Compo Subbu like the original image without the cloning of branch as it has a beauty of its own
