Canon 1D Mark II, 500 mm f/4 L IS lens plus a Canon 2x TC
giving 1,000 mm at f/8. Exposure: 1/100 second at ISO 100.

This is a 2 frame mosaic assembled in ptgui.

I'm not sure what constitutes qualification for a panoramic
image. This one has a slightly greater than 2:1 aspect ratio.

Nice looking cat and great idea doing a pano. It works well here.

I think if there is lot of out of focus grass or vegetation in front of the subject then most of the times it distracts. In those cases it is better to do a pano. It certains works in this case. Nice image.
