A lovely looking bird and great eye, I think more depth of field is needed though to get more of the body and tail sharp, think it would make a better image then

I like the sharpness, the BG, the HA & the dorsal view. A lovely image of a beautiful bird. I am surprised at the eye size. Is there a survival reason for the prominence of the eye & the yellow surrounding it?

The sharpness/ details in the head area are terrific. So is the soft light. A slightly higher shooting angle and stopping down to at least f/8 would have taken it a few notches up. With birds facing away from you, shallow DOF does not work as well as when they are facing you.

Very nice shot I agree a little more DOF - especially when the head is further away than the tail.

this is surely a fantastic image maddah. i would agree with KD on giving a bit higher aperture to give tail in sharp focus as well. may be f8 with focusing point on shoulder would have given you better entire bird in focus with the perch edge too in well sharp. Just a thought
