Dear All,

Made this Image in Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, India early this year. It was an overcast evening- few minutes before it started pouring.

Canon40D, 500 f/4- shot from Vehicle with Beanbag support.

EXIF : Aperture Priority Mode ; f/5 ; ISO-640 ; -1EV ; 1/60
PP : Cloned a twig on the Right hand top corner of the image

Appreciate your comments & Feedback on the image.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Subbu

Nice soft light and great pose from the delicate raptor, Subbu. BG has rendered nicely - may be worth trying to darken down the 3 paler OOF areas on the left. Great job at 1/60s:)

Beautiful bird coupled with soft light who could ask for more.

I agree with Tony regarding trying to tone down the brighter highlights in BG

love the light in this image what a great looking bird, agree about the highlights in the BG a bit distracting but overall a super image

Superbly composed and captured. The prey, and the bird's strong grip on it takes it up several notches imo.
Another vote for toning down the BG highlights.
The bird looks a very slightly over-sharpened; but I don't trust my eyes or my monitor on that.

Shooting birds in the fores tin such light conditions is so hard. Terrific IQ and comp. I am guessing you had to do some NR on the BG...very good job with that.

A very well captured image of this beautiful raptor. The background and composition works very well. I agree about toning down the OOF area spots.

Subbu, good comp, and Im glad you didnt cut the tail of the lizzard off.;) I like the show off pose of the Juvie, captured in lovely light. Another vote for blending in the three highlighted spots.

Excellent work Subbu bhai under the condition - specially at such a low shutter.
